How to Block Someone on Gmail?
If there’s someone sending you emails you don’t want to receive, you may want to block that sender. The good news is that if you’re a Gmail user, you will be able to do this easily. Simply follow the steps provided by Gmail support and the annoying sender will stop bothering you:
Steps to Block Senders
- Step 1 – Open Gmail and log in to your Google account
- Step 2 – Find an email that came from that sender
- Step 3 – Click the down arrow (located next to the date when the email was received)
- Step 4 – Choose Block “Senders Name” from the drop-down menu
Once you’re done with these steps, you will no longer receive the emails from the offending sender into your Inbox. However, this doesn’t mean you won’t be able to read them ever again. If you want to check them out, go to the Spam folder. The Spam is where the future emails of that sender will end up as well.
This is important to know as it allows you to un-block the sender any time you want. To do that, all you got to do is click the down arrow in the top right corner of the message and select Unblock “Senders Name”. Once you’re done, the messages sent by that person will get back to your Inbox.
As you can see, blocking/unblocking senders is actually pretty simple. However, if the sender manages to find a way to keep sending annoying messages to you (from other email address, for example), you need to get in touch with Gmail support by dialing our helpline number 1-800-413-882.
They probably have what it takes to help you deal with this problem. However, in some cases (if the sender is harassing you), the solution might be to contact the authorities. You can ask the people from Gmail technical support to check whether you have the grounds to report that sender to the authorities.
